I found a lovely light purple fabric at a yard sale. I was enchanted by the playful fringe and patterns. Before this, I had been brewing an idea of an “XL” pair of pants that started at the chest and went down to the ankles. While creating, I decided to make the top and bottom separable, allowing the wearer to style the piece in multiple fashions. This required me to handcraft a custom separating zipper which took a lot of patience, YouTube tutorials, and trial and error. The pockets add fun functionality.
